Israeli Correspondent
To Speak On Iran Pact
Rebecca Shimoni Stoil, Washington
correspondent for the Times of Israel,
will explore "The Iran Nuclear Deal
Debate through the Eyes of an Israeli
Reporter" at a 7:30 p.m. community
forum on Monday, Aug. 31, at Temple
Israel in West Bloomfield.

served as both the Knesset and inter-
nal security correspondent for paper.
She provided frontline accounts of
rocket attacks in Sderot, train wrecks,
suicide bombings and the Second
Lebanon War.
After graduating with honors from
the University of Chicago, Stoil made
aliyah. As an IDF reservist, Stoil was
a member of the elite Home Front
Command Heavy Search and Rescue
unit and served in the Second Lebanon
War.
Stoil is completing a Ph.D. in his-
tory at Johns Hopkins University in
Maryland.
She also teaches a course on military
studies, translating the major ques-
tions facing military thinkers and
civilian policy-makers into a political
science framework.

'Stop Iran' Rally Set For
Wednesday In Southfield
There will be a bipartisan "Stop
Iran Now" rally from 5:30-7 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 26, outside the
Southfield Civic Center, Evergreen and
Civic Center Drive (101/2 Mile).
The demonstration's intent is to
influence members of the Senate and
House to vote against the agreement.

Camp-Style Shabbat
At Temple Kol Ami
On Aug. 28, Temple Kol Ami in West
Bloomfield will host an outdoor,
camp-style Shabbat service at 7 p.m.
There will be a free dinner of hot dogs,
veggie dogs, sides and s'mores at 6
p.m. provided by the temple's Family
Religious School Committee.
