ou know how it goes.
All that digital stuff we
tend to collect because we
can't just trash it ... all those used bat-
teries, empty printer ink cartridges,
old cell phones, outdated computers
and laptops, VCRs and DVD players
— yes, at last, all that electronic equip-
ment that you have just stashed away
can now be put to good use when you
donate it to JVS eCycle Opportunties.
eCycle Opportunties is the new
electronics recycling subsidiary of JVS,
launched with the goal to recycle elec-
tronics in an eco-friendly way and to
create jobs for people with disabilities
and other barriers to employment.
"It's a win-win-win:' says Leah
Rosenbaum, JVS president and CEO.
"eCycle Opportunities is both a great
service and a great cause. All proceeds
from the program are recycled back
into the community by supporting
our agency's programs to help people
with disabilities lead fulfilling lives,
help job seekers return to work and
help seniors remain active. We encour-
age local residents and businesses to
take part in our effort and to use the
service, which is free and open to the
public."

"Moving forward, eCycle
Opportunities will work directly
with businesses and organizations
to offer secure and safe recycling of
all of their e-waste," explains Stacey
Lareau, JVS director of New Business
Development. As companies continue
to upgrade their offices and computer
systems, we are here to help them
find a place to properly dispose of the
material.
"Another benefit of recycling your
e-waste with eCycle Opportunities is
that all electronics collected are tax-
deductible. Individuals and businesses
who give us electronics are provided
with a receipt that can be used for tax
purposes, if they choose."
eCycle Opportunities is a member
of CyclePoint from Source America,
a new eRecycling network that offers
communities all over the U.S. con-
venient, safe and secure electronics
disposal. The joint mission of eCycle
Opportunities and CyclePoint is to
employ people with significant dis-
abilities.
Businesses and local organizations
can receive additional information
about partnering directly with eCycle
Opportunities by contacting Stacey
Lareau at slareau@jvsdet.org or (248)
