chair and the Commissioners' vice chair
for the General Government Committee.
She is also a member of the Finance
Committee. Taub is the only Jewish
Republican woman ever elected to the
County Commission and the Michigan
legislature; she will become the first vice
president in September.

Sheldon Toll, a
Southfield attorney,
has written, under the
pen name Sholem
Shmuel, a book titled
The Uprising
Historical Fiction
about Winston
Toll
Churchill and the Jews
in World War II, which was issued this
spring by Kindle Publishing. The book
imagines what might have happened if
Churchill turned to the Jews as allies in
his fight against Hitler.

growth experts, announced winners
of its 2015 membership awards. Scott
Eisenberg, winner of the Lifetime
Achievement Award, is managing part-
ner and co-founder of Amherst Partners,
a Birmingham boutique investment
banking firm. Larry Gardner, recipient
of the ACG Detroit Meritorious Service
Award, is president of Lawrence Gardner
& Assoc., a Troy consulting firm.

The award recognizes

in organ and tissue donation on behalf of
the Secretary of State's office, Gift of Life
