Mr. Webber was the cherished brother
and brother-in-law of the late Leo Weber,
late Morton Leikach and the late Bronia
and late Eliyahu Melman; treasured son
of the late Avraham Gershon and the late
Dvorah Leah Wygoda.
Interment was at Machpelah Cemetery.

Israeli President Awards Unity
Prize In Honor Of Slain Teens
INS. org Israeli President Reuven Rivlin
hosted the inaugural Jerusalem Unity
Prize award ceremony last week in honor
of Gilad Shaar, Eyal Yifrach and Naftali
Fraenkel, the Jewish teens who were
kidnapped and murdered by Hamas last
year.
The prize — initiated by the boys'
families, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat and
Gesher, a nonprofit dedicated to bridging
societal gaps in Israel — recognizes indi-
viduals and organizations who contribute
to unity among Jewish communities and
Israeli society.
Winners of the inaugural Unity Prize
included the Chabad House in Bangkok,
Thailand, under the leadership of Rabbi
Nechemya Wilhelm, in the Israel-
Diaspora category; "Nifgashim Beshvil
Israel: an annual hike of the Israel
National Trail initiated by Raya and Yossi
Epner in memory of their son Avi, who
died in a 1997 military helicopter crash,
in the Social Initiative category; and the
Meetchabrim ("Connecting") organiza-
tion's founder IDF Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Ram
Shmueli as well as musician Rabbi David
Menachem in the Individual category.
