He is the loving son

Steven K. Grekin
and brother of
Meredith. Andrew is the grandchild of
Dr. James A. Grekin, the late Dr.
Jacqueline Grekin, and Carolyn and
Harry Schaefer.
He is a student at the Roeper
School in Birmingham. As part of his
mitzvah project, Andrew worked in
the warehouse at Forgotten Harvest
to help combat hunger in our com-
munity, which he found to be very
meaningful.

is the loving son of
Catherine and Steven
Podvoll
Podvoll and brother
of Gwyneth. He is
the grandchild of the late Susanne and
the late Martin Podvoll, the late Teena
and the late Vernon Blair, and the late
Richard Paynter. Martin is the great-
grandchild of the late Grace and
William Paynter, the late Nona and late
Harold Smethills, the late Jenny
Podvoll, late Saul Podvoll and the late
Lee and late Ben Fishberg.
Martin is a student at the Hillside
Middle School in Northville. Among
his many mitzvah experiences, he
found donating tzedakah to Clearwater
Marine Aquarium to help save wild
dolphins the most meaningful.

Eli is a student at Hillel Day School
of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. For his mitzvah project, he

Circle to be very rewarding.

Bloomfield. She will be joined in cele-
bration by her brother Noah and
proud grandparents Carol and Steven
Lash, and Naomi Rubin. Whitney is
also the grandchild of the late Walter
Rubin. Her late great-grandparents are
Mary and George Stutz, Rose and
Irving Lash, Pearl and Adolf Meltzer,
and Meyer and Lillian Rubin.
Whitney is a student at Norup
International School in Oak Park. As
part of her many mitzvah experiences,
Whitney volunteered every Sunday
at the Friendship Circle, which she
found to be very rewarding.

Emilie Renee
Weingarden
(Bracha Reuvena) of
Farmington Hills,
was called to the
Torah as a bat mitz-
vah at B'nai Israel
Synagogue in West
Weingarden
Bloomfield on
Saturday, June 6. She
is the daughter of Meredith and Adam
Weingarden, and the younger sister of
Noah. Sharing in the simchah were
her grandparents Judith Holtz of West
Bloomfield, Albert and Debra Holtz of
West Bloomfield, Donna Weingarden
of Novi, great-grandmother, Frieda
Leemon of West Bloomfield, and
many other friends and relatives.
Emilie is also the granddaughter of
the late Nancy Precour and the late
Stanley Weingarden.
Emilie is a student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. Her mitzvah proj-
ect was volunteering with PeerCorps
at the Mt. Elliott Maker Space in
Detroit. She enjoyed working with the
children.
