one of the world's
foremost authorities on American Ju-
daism, is the seventh chancellor of The Jew-
ish Theological Seminary. Since taking office
in 2007, Chancellor Eisen has transformed
the education of religious, pedagogical, pro-
fessional, and lay leaders for Conservative Ju-
daism and the vital religious center of North
American Jewry. He has made his philosophy
of Jewish "learning, leadership, and vision" a
principle by which to study and live within and beyond the walls of JTS.
Among other initiatives, he has expanded the digitization and online ac-
cessibility of JTS Library resources, has launched learn.jtsa.edu , and has
established popular JTS social media sites. He discusses Judaism and
Jewish education, philosophy, and values on his blog, On My Mind, Arnie
