Arrangements by Dorfman Chapel. MORRIS M. MOORE, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Detroit, passed away on May 9, 2015, in Austin. He was born on Feb. 7, 1929, in Pennsylvania and spent most of his life in Detroit. He married Ethel (Edna) Mirtenbaum in 1953 and had an accom- plished career as a self-employed accoun- tant. Following his two daughters, he and Edna moved to Austin in 2011, leaving behind the snow and ice but never his love for the Detroit area. Engaging, charming and full of life, Morris was beloved by family, friends and clients. He was an avid tennis player and had a passion for travel. He found inspira- tion in Chinese proverbs, had an extensive collection of fu dogs and enjoyed a cold martini. His greatest pleasure became evident at every family gathering where he never failed to shed a few tears as he presided over the dinner table with deep expres- sions of gratitude for his family, which was ultimately his most cherished accomplish- ment. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Ethel; children, Lisa (Michael) Kurek, Daniel (Natalie Zuccarelli) Moore, and Renee (Kenneth) Womack; his grandchildren, Max, Isabella, Isaac and Henry. He was preceded in death by his grand- daughter, Sophia, and he now rests peace- fully by her side at Eloise Woods in Austin.
