STANLEY HARVEY
BERLIN, 88, of West
Bloomfield, died
May 17, 2015.
He was born in
Detroit on Feb. 18,
1927, to Maxwell
and
Dinah Berlin.
Berlin
He joined the U.S.
Navy at age 16 as an
under-aged enlistee.
A World War II veteran, he became
a proud member of the Jewish War
Veterans.
Mr. Berlin retired from Arco Alloys
in Detroit and then started work-
ing in his son-in-law's jewelry busi-
ness, Tappers Diamonds and Fine
Jewelry. He was a longtime member
of Congregation Beth Shalom in Oak
Park.
A Boy Scout leader, he also men-
tored children as a probation officer.
Mr. Berlin also belonged to B'nai
B'rith.
He is survived by his wife of 65
years, Gertrude "Trudy" Berlin;
daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and
Howard Tapper of Bloomfield Hills,
Ellen and Richard Kroopnick of West
Bloomfield; sons and daughters-in-
law, Don Berlin and Debbie Langer
of Oak Park, Arnie and Cheryl Berlin
of Farmington Hills; brother and
sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Jan
Berlin, Helen Berlin, Shirley Berlin;
grandchildren, Marla and Brian
Young, Mark and Leora Tapper, Jared
Kroopnick, Michael Kroopnick, Sara
Berlin, Hanna Berlin, Melissa Berlin;
great-grandchildren, Ari Young, Levi
Young, Adi Tapper.
Mr. Berlin was the dear brother
and brother-in-law of the late Julius
Berlin, the late Alvin Berlin, the late
Frieda and the late Sam Tencer.

Mrs. Burg was the beloved wife for
54 years of the late Jehuda Burg; the
dear sister-in-law of the late Leon
Asaban.
Interment was at Hebrew Memorial

BLANCH DUKE, 90, of Southfield,

died May 20, 2015.
She is survived by her daugh-
ters and son-in-law, Paula Duke
of Southfield, Debra and Richard
Beckwith of Farmington Hills; brother
and sister-in-law, Seymour and
Irene Burg; sister-in-law, Dorothy
Glick; grandchildren, Ashley (Stuart)
Weissman, Jordyn Beckwith, Brad
Beckwith; great-grandchild, Emma;
many other, loving family members
and friends.
Mrs. Duke was the beloved wife of
the late Abraham Duke; mother of the
late Elliot Duke; sister of the late Ruth
(the late Ben) Glass; sister-in-law of
the late Michael Glick.

charity of one's choice. Interment took
place at the Clover Hill Park Cemetery
in Birmingham. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.
