MARION F. SELIK, 85, of West
Bloomfield, died peacefully on May 2,
2015, surrounded by family.
She remained the center of family and
holiday celebrations for decades. An
excellent cook and baker, she prepared
traditional and new dishes, perfected
her gefilte fish and freely shared recipes
and cooking or baking tips.
She loved conversation and lunch with
her friends, Betty and Lou Chernoff,
Lorraine Silbur and Florence Davidson,
and enjoyed many afternoons playing
mah jong with new friends at Meer
Apartments.
With her husband, she enjoyed trav-
els in Europe, Hawaii and across the
American West. She especially loved
living in Michigan, taking road trips
to Charlevoix and visiting Downtown
Detroit for a stop at the DIA. She
enjoyed opera and was a loyal Tigers
fan.
A lifetime Hadassah member, Mrs.
Selik also contributed to the community
as a PTA member and later as PTA pres-
ident, working at the polls on Election
Day and volunteering at Henry Ford
Hospital.
She was joyful, fiercely independent,
generous and a dear friend to many who
will greatly miss her.
She leaves a lifetime of cherished
memories to her children, Nancy and
Michael Kay of Bethesda, Md., Laurie
Selik and Eric Roth of Los Angeles,
Calif., Ron and Laurie E. Selik; grand-
children, Margaret Kay, David B. Selik,
Adam Selik; great-niece, Devorah Glanz;
nieces and nephews, Marlene and
Larry Glanz, Susie and Rodney Shacket,
Barbara and Kevan Kreitman, Rhonda
and Larry Katz, Marilyn and Eric
Berkley; sister-in-law, Clara Selik, broth-
er-in-law, Johnny Katz; brother, Alan
Goodgall; special friends, Joan and Bob
Epstein, and Cathy Slavik; loving friend
and devoted caregiver, Donna West.
Mrs. Selik was the beloved wife of the
late David M. Selik.
She was also predeceased by her sis-
ter, Dorothy Katz, and brother, Irving
Goodgall.

HOWARD SHORE, 54, of Farmington
Hills, died May 10, 2015.
He is survived by his sisters and
brothers-in-law, Judy and Jeffrey Aisen
of Huntington Woods, Helen and Wayne
Kristall of Huntington Woods, Sharon
and Larry Taitelbaum of Swampscott,
Mass.; loving nieces and nephews, car-
ing and compassionate caregivers.

held at Shar Hashomayim Cemetery in
Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Arrangements

RON STEWART, 75, of
Oak Park, died May 9,
2015.
A graduate of Ferris
State University, Mr.
Stewart was a member
of the Birmingham
Stamp Club, B'nai B'rith
Stewart
and Temple Emanu-El.
He is survived by his
loving wife, Frances
Stewart; children; grandchildren; broth-
er, Edward Stewart of Bolton Landing,
N.Y.
He was the son of the late Bessie and
the late Samuel Stewart.
