Educational Meeting Set For Kidney Donation Two organizations, Partners in Care and Renewal, will hold "A Second Chance at Life," a kidney dona- tion educational event from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at the Jewish Community Center in Oak Park. Speakers include Rabbi Eli Mansour, senior rabbi of Bet Yaakob, a prominent Sephardic congregation in Brooklyn, and Dr. Jason Denny, senior staff surgeon and surgical director of the Living Donor Kidney Transplant program at the Henry Ford Transplant Institute. The event also features a panel with three donors answering questions from the audience. A sushi and salad buffet will be served. Chairpersons are Rabbi Dov Loketch and Dr. Mark Faber. StandWithUs-Michigan Names Executive Board The StandWithUs-MI board elected its 2015-2016 executive board on April 16. They are Barbara Moretsky, presi- dent; Jeffrey Hollander, vice president; Margot Gardner, recording secretary; Dr. Herbert Gardner, treasurer; and Reva Rosen, corresponding secretary. The new executive committee took office on May 1. Based in Los Angeles, the organization has 18 chapters and offices throughout the U.S., in Israel, the U.K. and Canada.
