RICHARD "RICK" JAY CUTLER, 56, of Boca Raton, Fla., formerly of Farmington Hills, died April 24, 2015. Friends and family remembered him as "Rick don't call me Ricky" a Cutler proud father, a loving husband and a very opinionated soul who liked having things "his way or the highway:' He loved the little things in life: cigars, hot tubs, poker and Wing Hong Chinese food in Southfield. Whenever he visited Michigan, Rick would bring home a suitcase full of Wing Hong, making everyone else's luggage in the cargo hold smell good enough to eat. Before he passed, Rick spent months as a patient at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He and his wife, Sheryl, found comfort in the outreach from the Jewish Chaplaincy Program, a part of Jewish Family Services. Sheryl said, "They gave us a hug when we needed a hug, a talk when we needed to talk; they really touched our lives" He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Sheryl; teenage daughters, Morgan and Rachel; Leo, the family's Labrador-mix dog and Rick's close companion. Mr. Cutler was the son of the late Maynard and Rita Cutler; brother of Susie Horwitz (Dennis) and Jeff Cutler (Robin); brother-in- law of Andy and Nicole Poulshock, and Mark and Jennifer Poulshock. A native Detroiter, she graduated from Oak Park High in 1960, then attended Walsh College, where she met Gordon her husband, Herbert Gordon Mrs. Gordon went to work to help support her husband as he completed his studies and eventu- ally started Zip Printing in 1967. She managed the business' finances while at home raising Marc and Wendy. Her home and her heart welcomed all for holiday meals and get-togethers. She and Herb grew to love travel. They toured the world. She loved to travel so much that she opened a travel agency and arranged detailed itineraries to the four corners of the globe, where she made and kept friends in dozens of foreign capitals. Lana was active in the travel community, serving as a president of Detroit Skal Club. She touched a lot of different people from many walks of life all over the world.
