was able to avoid tasting any of the
yolk running all over the plate. I hate
egg yolk.
For Ryan, it was the "Fire-Breathing
Dragon," an Asian-inspired bowl filled
with grilled chicken, chilled wheat
noodles, and sweet basil doused with
peanut sauce. I didn't try it, but taking
Mr. Cohn's word for it (and the fact he
was practically chewing on the plate)
it was "out of this world. An incredible
find:'
Me, I went more traditional, opting
for the "Dago Red" omelet, a massive
amalgamation of hot Italian sausage,
peppers, onions, spinach and provo-
lone. The name may be mildly offen-
sive, but the combination made for an
incredibly delicious breakfast, topped
off with house-made garlic fried pota-
toes and sourdough toast. The sausage,
made on site, was flavorful, spicy, and
its casing delivered the perfect crunch.
Too stuffed to try one of
their rotating homemade
muffins or specialty shakes,
we wandered back out into
the cold afternoon air, and
before we could even hit
the pavement, Jordan asked
if we could come back the
next weekend. I'm fairly
convinced we just might.
