"Describing innovation is like describing laughter. I mean, you do it because you have the ability to do it." — A. Alfred Taubman In memory of a great innovator, supporter and friend. We are grateful for his partnership in establishing the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights, a leader in training advocates for promoting equal justice for all. 2003510 IN MEMORIAM A. Alfred Taubman The College for Creative Studies — its Trustees, faculty, staff, alumni and students — expresses its sorrow at the death of its long-time Trustee A. Alfred Taubman. Alfred Taubman had a profound impact on the College. As chair of its Facilities Committee for over twenty years, he led the physical transformation of CCS, creating a true campus in the Cultural Center and expanding to a second site, the innovative A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education, housing art and design education from sixth grade through graduate school, the only such building in the world. He was a forceful champion of the College's mission of nurturing creativity and an inspiringly creative thinker himself. He made CCS a better place for its students and a more effective servant to its City. We will miss him greatly. His imprint on the College is indelible, and our gratitude for his contributions is everlasting. We extend our deep sympathies to the members of the Taubman family. Keith E.
