Bloomfield will celebrate his
• s 95th birthday on April 26. He
will share this special milestone with his
adoring wife of 65 years, Edith; his devoted
children, Jay, Renee, Ruthie, Joe and Jill; and
his grandchildren, Rachel, Anna, Bryan,
David, Julia, Max and Ben, who each con-
sider him a hero. Despite the hardships
Marvin endured during the Holocaust, his
appreciation for life and his positive outlook
have never waned. All who know him rec-
ognize how loving and kind he is, and the
ways in which he inspires people are truly
special. While he often insists that every day
is his birthday, the family looks forward to
celebrating many more happy and healthy years together.

ax Putterman of Pompano
Beach, Fla., recently celebrated
his 100th birthday. The fam-
ily marked the occasion at a dinner party in
Boynton Beach. His family includes daughter
and son-in-law, Caren and Dr. Stuart Bass,
son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Deidre
Putterman; grandchildren, Robyn and Travis
Hunt, Julie and David Sidder, Kathleen and
Neil Hance, Nicole and Dan IaQuinta, Justin
and Natasha Cohen; great-grandchildren,
Ella Sidder, Ava Sidder, Braden Hunt and
Gavin Hunt, Bill and Holly Hance, Stephanie

laine and Mark Blumenfeld of
Farmington Hills are beyond
thrilled to announce the engage-
ment of their daughter Ariana to Dan
Carps, son of Sherry and Dan Carps, also of
Farmington Hills.
Despite having many mutual friends
through high school and college, the couple
didn't meet until December 2012. Dan is an
engineer for Chrysler, and Ariana is a part-
ner at the clothing store Rear Ends in West
Bloomfield with her parents.
In their free time they like to rock climb,
cheer on Michigan State and spend time
with their dog.
A May wedding is planned followed by an Up North minimoon. They will
continue to reside in Berkley.
