COUNTRY CI U13

Nothing defines the best of Michigan's summer like sun bathing,
a nice dip, great food, and wonderful people all in a single
relaxing environment at Tam-O-Shanter Country Club

constituency. To take the survey, go
to http://bitly/1MGpywO. Results
of the survey will be shared with
Federation and the UJF, which is
getting input from the committee
on related matters as well.
• T-shirt sales will enable people
to wear their commitment to the
Oak Park JCC. Extra proceeds will
go the scholarship campaign.
• A website, www.
savetheoakparkjcc.com , outlines
what the committee is doing and
how people can help. A Facebook
page, Committee to Save the Oak
Park JCC, also has information.
Other committee leaders took
part in the presentation, including
Aaron Tobin, John Klein, Barbara
Goldman, Phyllis Aronson and
Lesley Zwick.
Zwick of Huntington Woods
describes the Oak Park JCC as "a
place where everyone, of all Jewish
backgrounds, can comfortably
come together. Instead of closing
the building, we need to revitalize
it, adding new and fresh program-
ming to bring in and welcome the
community and increase the mem-
bership."
Carol Renouf of Oak Park, in a
testimonial on the committee web-
site, describes the value of the Oak
Park JCC to her fellow residents of
the Teitel Apartments just across
the parking lot.
"There are a lot of seniors in
these apartments that use the JCC
for the pool and other exercise;
they rely on the concerts and
other activities:' she said. She also
notes that the facility is not under-
utilized. "The parking lot is always
full."
