ROBERT
MESINAR, 66,
of Berkley, died
March 29, 2015.
He was
a longtime
employee of
Michigan Opera
Mesinar
Theater and
Michigan Opera House.
Mr. Mesinar is survived by his
sister-in-law, Linda Mesinar; neph-
ews, David Mesinar Jr. and Dennis
Mesinar; cousin, Harold Oseff;
many cousins and a world of close
friends.
He was the devoted son of the
late Rose Cohen Mesinar and the
late Walter Mesinar; the loving
brother of the late David Mesinar.
Interment was at Oakview
Cemetery. Contributions may be

JOSEPH METZGER, 89, of
Sacramento, Calif., formerly of
Detroit, died March 12, 2015, sur-
rounded by his family.
Joe was the patriarch of a close
and loving family. He was the con-
summate entertainer who loved
holding an audience as he did for
the troops in World War II and
multiple generations of Metzgers
(embellishing stories, singing songs
with Irving Melnick and celebrat-
ing Yiddishkeit).
He was the cherished father
of Robbie (Hilary), Debbie (Eliot
Reiner), Lisa (Steve Leibovitz).
"Gpa" was adored by his seven
grandchildren, Spruce (Rebecca),
Jacob, Shoshana, Talia, Michael,
Abe and Noah.
Joe was the beloved husband of
the late Elayne Metzger; dear father
of the late Susan. Donations can
