in conjunction with Albert Young of Michigan Hot Glass presents the
Michigan Regional Glass Exhibition — the first since 1983 — through
April 29. Juried by Ferdinand Hampson, founder of Habatat Galleries
in Royal Oak, the exhibit includes works in glass by Janet Kelman,
April Wagner, Herb Babcock (whose work is shown above, right) and
more, plus historical pieces from private collections. While you're
there, check out the Side Gallery's exhibit of works by ceramics artist
Mary Ann Grauf. (248) 432-5579; jccdet.org .

In The Lady in Gold — the 2012 book
upon which the film Woman in Gold (see
Golden Girl on previous page) is based
— Anne-Marie O'Connor tells a rivet-
ing story of fin-de-siecle Vienna, Nazi
war crimes and the contemporary art
world. Centered around Gustav Klimt's
1907 portrait of Jewish Viennese social-
ite (and Klimt's possible lover) Adele
Bloch-Bauer, the illuminating book will
finally be available in paperback for the
first time on March 31 (Vintage Books;
