to announce the engagement of
their children Sally Ruth and Sandy
Lawrence.
Sandy is the grandson of Joan
Danto, the late Dr. Morris and Shirley
Hutton, and the late Dr. Bruce Danto.
Sally is the granddaughter of Peter
and Molly Turner, and the late Samuel
and Ruth Scharg.
Sandy graduated from Indiana
University. He is a writer, actor and
standup comedian as well as a director and producer of comedy shorts.
Sally graduated from the University of Michigan School of Nursing. She is a
nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
Sally and Sandy originally met at West Bloomfield High School. A spring wed-
ding is planned in West Bloomfield. They reside in Los Angeles.

,J1-1 Dr. Barton Halpern of Lancaster,
Pa., are very happy to announce the engage-
ment of their children Debra and Miles.
Debra earned her B.S. from Skidmore
College, M.F.A. from University of
Wisconsin-Madison and post-graduate
degree in graphic design from Columbia
College; she is teaching at Columbia College,
Chicago.
Miles earned his B.S. from Skidmore
College, B.F.A. from the School of the
Art Institute of Chicago and M.F.A. from
Pennsylvania State University; he is an instructor at a college outside of Chicago.
A dating site brought Debra and Miles together, and they are planning a May
wedding in Chicago.
