Buy Israeli Goods
For Passover
One strategy StandWithUs uses to
counter the effects of persistent
anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and
Sanctions (BDS) actions on America's
university campuses and in U.S. com-
munities is to urge everyone to pur-
chase Israeli products all year round.
Passover is another perfect time of
year when you can help strengthen
Israel's economy when shopping for
foods and gifts for your Passover
seder hosts, family members and
friends.
To find local and online stores that
carry Israel's quality products, search
the item categories at the Michigan
link on the B.I.G. website www.
buyisraelgoods.org . Friends and rela-
tives in other states can find interna-
tional vendors and their local mer-
chants when searching by state and
city listings linked to the Buy Israel
Goods (B.I.G.) home page.

can help this economy-boosting
campaign for Israel and our sup-
portive American merchants, contact

Iran Deal Throws
Israel Under Bus
In regard to Mr. Falbaum's criticism
of Netanyahu's breach in protocol by
addressing Congress without White
House invitation ("Netanyahu's
Speech Politically Reckless," March
12, page 19), he fails to recognize the
desperate position President Obama
has placed Israel in with this terribly
flawed "deal." Obama is essentially
throwing Israel under the bus and
ultimately betraying all of Western
civilization. Iran is a bully and
intends to destabilize the region and
the world. If you recall, it was Iran
that bombed the JCC of Buenos Aires
killing Argentinian Jews. None of us
is exempt from their tyranny.
Netanyahu calls a spade a spade.
By not fooling around, I consider him
a hero. Reckless? Maybe. But if Mr.
Falbaum's family was being directly
threatened and his protests fell on
deaf ears, I would expect him to
pull out all the stops just like Prime
Minister Netanyahu.

Obama Is Reckless,
Not Netanyahu
So, Netanyahu accepted an invitation
from John Boehner, the Speaker of
the House, to speak about the nuclear
threat Iran poses to the entire world.
So, Netanyahu suggested that
Obama is naive and not very smart.
Look around you. That conclusion is
not very hard to substantiate.
Iran supports terrorism around
the world and is actively trying
to annihilate Israel and, eventu-
ally, kill the world's infidels ... Jews,
Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and
even Muslims who believe in peace.
Iran boasts it now has developed a
long-range cruise missile that can
reach parts of Europe and is capable
of carrying nuclear warheads. Even
Gulf Arab states are skeptical about
the current negotiations and have
come close to a strategic alignment
with Israel on the issue to protect
their own countries.
Meanwhile, Obama works behind
the scenes to defeat and destroy
Netanyahu in the upcoming Israeli
election. According to some reports,
Obama even threatened to take mili-
tary action against Israel to prevent it
from striking Iranian nuclear facili-
ties.
Of even more concern, Obama is
secretly negotiating with Iran to allow
them to keep operating as many as
7,000 centrifuges that will eventu-
ally enable them to produce enough
enriched uranium to make nuclear
weapons. Iran cannot be trusted with
even 100 centrifuges.
You don't have to be a nuclear
scientist to understand that there is
something wrong with this scenario. I
submit that Obama, not Netanyahu, is
politically reckless.

Perhaps Reckless,
But Not A Doormat
Perhaps Netanyahu was reckless
speaking before Congress. But he also
showed chutzpah, which seems to
be in short supply within the Jewish
community these days. While cour-
age is lauded among other groups,
Jews are expected to be polite and not
make waves. We're supposed to dem-
onstrate our superior moral values by
being doormats.
Doormats get walked on. Leaders
who demand respect get that respect,
even when it's shown by way of hissy
fits from petulant politicians. Yes,
Nancy Pelosi gave a dramatic reac-
tion to the speech, and a bunch of
Democrats went sulking to their
offices rather than listen to that
upstart, Bibi. So what?
Congress got a demonstration
of Jewish strength, and even if not
everyone was pleased, it still works
to our country's advantage to have an
alliance with strong Jews rather than
Jewish doormats.
There are some who wish to jet-
tison any positive relationship with a
Jewish Israel. The way to marginalize
them is to stand strong and stop seek-
ing permission to fulfill our needs,
especially our self-defense needs.

Netanyahu Speech
Not Fairly Quoted
Berl Falbaum should be ashamed of
himself, not for his editorial (he's
entitled to his opinion), but for the
disservice he did to the prime minis-
ter's speech in which he attempts to
lead the reader to a tainted conclu-
sion.
Mr. Faulbaum writes in his guest
column: "If condemnation of Obama's
Iran strategy were not enough,
Netanyahu defiantly told the presi-
dent that Israel doesn't need the U.S.
when he wrote, "... we, the Jewish
people, can defend ourselves."
Mr. Netanyahu's full quote was
actually "We are no longer scattered
among the nations, powerless to
defend ourselves. We restored our
sovereignty in our ancient home. And
the soldiers who defend our home
have boundless courage. For the
first time in 100 generations, we, the
Jewish people, can defend ourselves."
By using an ellipsis (...) to hide 85
percent of such an important quote
serves nothing more than to show
just how far writers like Mr. Falbaum
will go to follow the liberal mantra
in getting his point across using the
least amount of facts and clarity.
