He and his mother and brother Al catered the first kosher event at Cobo Hall for the State of Israel's 13th anni- versary at which Eleanor Roosevelt was the main speaker. Together, they owned Holiday Manor on Wyoming in Detroit and they catered numerous simchahs at Adat Shalom Synagogue on Curtis. His sister, Rosella, was the wonderful baker in the catering family.
