Levin To Join Honigman
Former Michigan Sen. Carl Levin
will join the Detroit-based law firm
of Honigman Miller Schwartz and
Cohn LLP in April as senior coun-
sel, according to
Crain's Detroit
Business.
Levin, 80,
retired from office
in January after
choosing not to
seek a seventh
term in the U.S.
Senate. His career
spanned 36 years, representing
the state and previous posts on the
Detroit City Council.
At Honigman, Levin will serve as
an adviser to the firm's government
relations and regulatory practice
group, the firm told Crain's. He will
also assist Honigman's corporate cli-
ents with internal investigations, cri-
sis management, compliance issues
and alternative dispute resolution.
Levin said he plans to dedicate
only some of his time to law; he has
plans to teach and says he is excited
to return to Detroit.
