THE GOTTLIEB ENDOWMENT

KEEPING STEPHEN'S LOVE OF MUSIC ALIVE

Stephen Gottlieb loved music. It was his passion. Had this
gifted soul had more time in this world, his parents are sure
he would have become a professional musician, and shared his
creative spirit with so many.

Sadly, the husband and father of three passed away in
2006. It is through Stephen's love of music that his parents,
Harold and Sarah Gottlieb, have established an endowment
in excess of $10 million at Temple Israel to create two
Cantorial Chairs and an annual summer concert bearing
their son's name.

The inaugural Stephen Gottlieb Tribute Concert, which will
feature prominent Jewish musicians, is scheduled for Sunday,
July 19, 2015.

The Gottliebs explain the goal of the concert is to attract an

audience that will be inspired to learn and appreciate Jewish
music. "It's what Stephen wanted," both agree.

CANTORIAL CHAIRS

The Gottlieb endowment provides for two Cantorial Chairs
at Temple Israel and will assure that the music department's
already high level of programming will continue to grow
and inspire members.

"Through the Gottlieb's generosity, the creation of these
two Cantorial Chairs will elevate Temple Israel's musical
offerings to a new level, emphasizing our commitment to the
department and the impact music has on our members," said
CEO David Tisdale. "In addition, the creation of an annual
concert is a meaningful way to keep Stephen's memory alive.
It will encourage children and young adults to get involved
in music while showcasing talented Jewish musicians."
