The exemption of certain local school operating taxes for "qualified agricultural properties" may
be appealed to the local Board of Review. The exemption of certain taxes for "Principal Residence
Properties" may be appealed to the Michigan Department of Treasury.

Requirements:

To appeal an assessment, properties classified as Agricultural and Residential must protest at
the Board of Review to protect your right for further appeal to the Michigan Tax Tribunal for
valuation and exemption appeals and/or State Tax Commission for classification appeals.

Please use the Parcel Identification Number when referring to your property so that your records
can be quickly located.

If you have any questions regarding your assessment, please call or visit the Assessor's Office at
(248) 451-4850 for an informal Assessor's Review beginning Wednesday, February 18, 2015
and concluding Friday, February 27, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you wish to appear before the Board of Review for a formal appeal, contact the Assessor's Office
for an appointment beginning on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 and no later than
4:30 p.m., on Monday, March 2, 2015. Appointments are 5 minutes each on the above
published dates. Due to time constraints, appointments may not be rescheduled.

Board of Review appeals by letter will also be accepted, in place of a personal appearance, if
received by March 2, 2015.

If you purchased your principal residence after June 1, 2014, and have not claimed the Principal
Residence Exemption, you are required to file an affidavit on or before June 1, 2015 for the
immediately succeeding summer tax levy and all subsequent tax levies or by November 1, 2015
for the immediately succeeding winter tax levy and all subsequent tax levies.
