Longtime Chiropractor
D
r. Sidney Leitson, 99, of West
Bloomfield, died Feb. 15, 2015.
He grew up wanting to help
people. Even in elementary school, he
used to fight the bullies who were pick-
ing on those weaker. His parents had
a bakery in Flint, and he always had a
strong work ethic, rising early in the
morning and working long hours.
Dr. Leitson joined the Army and
became a part of the 94th Infantry. He
first served on U.S. soil, but he insisted
on fighting in Europe. He became an
instrumental corporal and served in
northern France and the Rhineland.
He earned four Bronze Stars and the
Distinguished Service Medal (second
only to the Medal of Honor). He was a

ANNETTE GOLDEN, 69, of Las Vegas,
Nev., formerly of Detroit, died Feb. 5,

She was born Oct. 5, 1945, in Detroit
to Joseph and Blanche Haas. She gradu-
ated from Michigan State University in
1968. Carol approached every challenge
with strength and optimism and was
truly brave in all things.
She is survived by her daughters

Joseph, and Amy and Peter Johnson;

SOPHIE LUPOVITCH, 95, of
Southfield, died Feb. 12, 2015.
She was a past president of True
Sisters.
Mrs. Lupovitch is survived by her
daughters, Adrienne Nye of Waterford,
Karen Bango of Oak Park; son and
daughter-in-law, Leslie and Lu
Lupovitch of Ivory Town, Conn.; grand-
children, James and Kim Nye, David
and Megan Bango; great-grandchildren,
Matthew Nye, Adam Bango.
Mrs. Lupovitch was the beloved wife
for 74 years of the late Joseph Lupovitch;
loving sister of the late Joseph Green-
berg, the late Milton Greenberg, the late
Lillian Meltzer.
