SEYMOUR YAROWS,
911/2, of Phoenix, Ariz.,
died Jan. 27, 2015.
He was, above all, a
family man who was
extremely proud of his
two children, Steve
Yarows, M.D., and
Yarows
Cindy Yarows Schurgin,
M.B.A.
Seymour was a World
War II veteran who served in Okinawa,
then returned to Detroit to start a family
and a career in the insurance industry.
He was known for his great sense of
humor, lighting up the lives of family,
friends and pretty much anyone he came
in contact with, especially strangers. He
had a knack of making friends wherever
he went. Even when he was critically ill
and near the end, he never lost his sense
of humor. On the day before his pass-
ing, he quipped to his nurse, "If I knew
dying was this hard, I wouldn't do it!"
Seymour is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Steven and Karen
Yarows of Ann Arbor; daughter and
son-in-law, Cindy and Art Schurgin
of Arizona; grandchildren, Daniel
Schurgin, and Kevin and Kristen
Yarows; sister and brother-in-law, Betty
and Jack Pearlman of Arizona; brother
and sister-in-law, Terry and Madelon
Yarows of Arizona; sister-in-law, Annette
Schweitzer of California; many nieces
and nephews.
He departs this world to be with his
beloved wife, Libby, who preceded him
in death.
Interment was at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park. Contributions may be
made to Weizmann Institute, Dr. Bruce
Pearlman Ph.D. Scholarship in Organic
Chemistry, 6735 Telegraph Road, Suite
