ARNOLD ARONOFF, 83, of Bloomfield
Hills, died Jan. 29, 2015.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Aronoff;
daughters and son-in-law, Jane and Edward
Schulak of Birmingham, Lynn Aronoff of
Royal Oak; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel
and Nancy Aronoff of Birmingham; grand-
children, Joanna and Peter Buchthal, Frances
and Dr. Andrew Lozen, Samuel Schulak,
Joseph Aronoff, Chloe Aronoff, Giselle
Aronoff, Lila Aronoff and Charlie Aronoff;
great-granddaughter, Charlotte Buchthal;
sister, Rosann Kaplan of Toledo.
Mr. Aronoff was the devoted son of the
late Joseph and the late Lillian Aronoff; the
dear brother-in-law of the late Julian Kaplan.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park

JACK COHEN, 84, of
Boynton Beach, Fla., for-
merly of Livonia, died Jan.
19, 2015.
He was the retired
kosher butcher/owner of
Oak Park's Cohen & Son
on Coolidge.
Jack Cohen
A devoted husband of
66 years, he is survived
by his beloved wife,
Delle Cohen; cherished children, Sheryl and
Aaron Shecter, Mark and Cleo Cohen, Dan
and Cyndi Cohen; treasured grandchildren,
Samantha Shecter and Ryan Ginsberg, Carly
Shecter, Mathew Cohen, Joshua Cohen,
Amanda (Cohen) and Rob Cray, Brandon
and Rachel Cohen, Breanne (Cohen) and
Jeff Waldrup; precious great-grandchildren,
Bronson Cray and Elise Cohen. He is also
survived by his loving brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law, Earl and Myrna Mogell, Vita
(Mogell) and Bob Becker; many, many ador-
ing nieces, nephews, cousins and dear, caring
friends.
A memorial service took place at the
Gardens Memorial Park in Boca Raton, Fla.

He is survived by his

She is survived by her

Mrs. Croogloff was the

August; the devoted daughter of the late
Abraham and the late Fannie August.

BARBARA ELAINE "BOBBIE"
GAVORIN, 66, of Battle Creek, formerly of
Dearborn.
Bobbie held dual citizenship of both the
U.S. and Israel, being an ardent Zionist,
making Israel her home for four years. She
earned advanced degrees from the Hebrew
University of Jerusalem, Wayne State
University and University of Michigan-
Dearborn.
Bobbie was a special education teacher
for Detroit Public Schools for 30 years.
Her fortunate students ranged from adult
immigrants to troubled teens. She was a
published author of two books. Her spe-
cialty was writing humorous stories about
her family. She was also a creative journalist
for the Dearborn Press, was a fluent Hebrew
speaker, an avid reader, talented Scrabble
player, graceful Israeli folk dancer and
teacher.
She was the beloved wife of Harvey
Glenn Gavorin; loving sister of Lawrence
(Linda) Goldin, and Pennie Michelin; ador-
ing aunt of Joshua Michelin; devoted niece
of Pearl Dubin, Ilene (Henry) Rubin, Yona
Rudyan, and Jacob (Betty) Krohngold; the
proud stepmother of Michelle Gavorin,
David Gavorin and Randy (Denise)
Gavorin; the loving stepgrandma to
Rebecca Gavorin, Andrew Gavorin, Austin
Gavorin and Amelia Gavorin; the thrilled
stepgreat-grandma to Kassidy. Bobbie was
an affectionate, caring cousin and friend to
many.
She was the beloved daughter of the late
Jack Harold Goldin and the late Shirley
Marion Goldin; loving niece of the late Rita
Krohngold, Baruch Rudyan and Iry Dubin.
