ROBERT BRAY MANNING, 82, of Livonia, died Jan. 22, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marian Manning; daughters and sons­ Manning in-law, Karyn and Brian Bookmeier of Livonia, Lisa and Joseph Dougherty Jr. of Royal Oak; son and daughter-in-law, David and Jennifer Manning of Livonia; grandchildren, Justin and Jared Bookmeier, Justin and Julia Marentette, Gavin Manning, and Dillon and Leah Dougherty; sister, Ruth Dertinger; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Manning was the cherished brother of the late Richard Manning and the late Peggy James; the devoted son of the late Richard Manning and the late Margaret Manning. He had a few enjoyable careers, first in retail with Grayson's, followed by 25 years with the Miller Wohl Company. In 1986, he and his daughter Susy opened Memories, a collectibles shop in Davie, Fla., which gave him years of pleasure the into his 80s.
