He was born in Russia in 1917 and spent his child- hood and young adult years in the Cincinnati area. Upon marrying his beloved wife, Freda, in 1951, he moved to the Detroit area, where he spent the rest of his life with his growing family. He had a number of business oppor- tunities over the years such as own- ing an appliance repair shop, a driv- ing school, as well as his industrial supply tool business. With a panel truck, he sold tools to most of the machine shops and manufacturing plants throughout the Metropolitan Detroit area. He retired from his business at age 95, after 40 success- ful years. Mr. Needelman is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis Needelman and Stephen Kutler of Carmichael, Calif.; sons and daugh- ter-in-law, Leonard Needelman of Parkland, Fla., and Paul Needelman and Amy Krause of Solana, Calif.; grandchildren, Jeremy Needelman, Alex Needelman, Sophie Needelman, Dana Needelman, Seth Kutler, Josh and Hannah Kutler; loving nieces and nephews. Estelle graduated from Robinson the University of Illinois before relo- cating to Detroit in 1946. She then moved to Kansas City in 1983 and returned to Detroit to live with her daughter and son-in- law, Jerry and Carol Frank. Estelle was very active in the com- munity. She was a life member of the Council of Jewish Women, a member of Brandeis Women's Committee Regional Board and served as presi- dent and regional board member of Jewish Woman International Detroit Chapter. She was also very active in serving as book sale chairman for many years at the Brandeis Book Sale. Mrs. Robinson was a member of Temple Beth El for 60 years. She and her husband, Dr. Harold Robinson, owned the Bedford Villa Nursing home. She was the cherished mother of James Robinson; mother-in-law of Jerome Frank; loving grandmother of Jay A. (Lisa) Homburger, Richard (Heather) Homburger, Whitney Robinson, Hunter Robinson; ador- ing great-grandmother of Hayden Homburger, Hudson Homburger and Charles Robinson Homburger; dear aunt of Dorothy Hack, Ellen Robinson, Ronald Robinson, Jo-Anne Schimmelpfennig and Nancy Meisler.
