Tampa, Fla., died
Dec. 27, 2014.
She lives in the
hearts of all who
were fortunate
McDowell
enough to be loved
by her. She was a
strong, vivacious
and courageous woman.
She was a proud graduate of
Cranbrook Kingswood and was
involved heavily in the art com-
munity in Birmingham, including
chairing the Birmingham Art Fair. In
her later years, Betsy was a resident
of Saugatuck and Puerto Vallarta,
Mexico. She loved the sun, her chil-
dren and cutting a mean rug to any
number of reggae tunes her son was
prone to listen to in the mid-'90s.
Mrs. McDowall is survived by her
husband Michael McDowall; her two
sons, Darren and Justin Gold; her
two grandchildren, Brody and Rory.
She was the daughter of Lee and
Theodosia Brody.

well as many nurs-
ing homes in the area.
Mrs. Manson leaves behind her
Friday Meals-on-Wheels Group
(National Council of Jewish Women).
She was a volunteer extraordinaire
for the whole Jewish community,
which culminated in her being an 8
Over 80 recipient in 2013.
Mrs. Manson is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and
Howard Malley; sons and daughter-
in-law, Marc and Marcia Manson
and Eric Manson; grandchildren,

Benjamin Manson, and Jeremy and
Alison Manson; great-grandchildren,

Ervin and the late Shirley Manson;
the treasured aunt of the late Sidney
Feldman and the late Walter Zeiger.
