89, of Farmington Hills,
died Dec. 20, 2014.
He was a member of the
Masons, Adat Shalom
Synagogue and the
American Psychological
Association.
Mr. Bayer is survived
by his wife of 58 years,
Ruth Bayer; son, Elihugh Bayer of Maine;
daughter and son-in-law, Beth Bayer-Neff
and Howard Neff of Orchard Lake; grand-
children, Rachel Miller and fiance, Charlie,
Leah Bayer, Jacob Bayer, Michelle Neff,
Andrew Neff and fiancee, Lisa Lamport,
Alissa Neff.
He was the dear brother of the late
Burton Bayer and the late Edmond Bayer.

PHILIP DEYTSHE, 94, of West Bloomfield,
died Dec. 15, 2014.
He was a pharmacist and later in life the
co-owner of Michigan Paper Stock.
Mr. Deytshe is survived by his beloved
wife, Phyllis Deytshe; daughters and son-
in-law, Fay Gorman, Terry and Alan Gold;
grandchildren, Lisa Gorman, Jeffrey (Jaime)
Gorman, Adam (Phil Jessell) Geffen, Jennifer
Geffen, Jason (Julia) Gold; great-grand-
children, Benjamin, Samantha, Eliah and
Amelie; many loving nieces, nephews, other
family members and friends.

erta Meyerson Molasky, 81, of
Petoskey, formerly of Detroit, died
Dec. 20, 2014.
She was raised and lived most
of her life in the Detroit area.
After graduating from Detroit
Central High School, she attended
University of Michigan and Wayne
State University, graduating from
Wayne with a B.S. in education
in 1954, a member of Pi Lambda
Theta. Continuing her lifelong
commitment to learning and
education, she added an M.A. in
Bertha
English in 1959 and an education
specialist degree in reading in
1982, both from Wayne State. She
reached the All-But-Dissertation level for a
Ph.D. in education.
Mrs. Molasky taught auditorium and
reading in the Detroit school district from
1954-1962. She returned to teaching after
raising her children, working for Oak Park
schools from 1978-1992 as a reading spe-
cialist.
She was often found at the Bridge Club,
and she earned a Silver Life Master in 2011.
She also enjoyed tennis, skiing and sailing.
Mrs. Molasky traveled overseas extensively
visiting dozens of countries over the course
of her life and every continent except
Antarctica. She enjoyed hosting and assist-
ing the Meyerson brothers at their restau-
rants, Scotch & Sirloin and Trio. She was a
voracious reader and was also a patron of
the Detroit and Traverse City symphonies.
A huge fan of all Detroit and University of
Michigan sports, she especially loved the
Tigers and almost always had the game on
the radio or television.
Mrs. Molasky donated countless hours
of her time as well as financial support
to many charitable groups such as CASA
(Court Appointed Special Advocate for
Children Guardian ad litem), National
Council of Jewish Women (she was a for-
mer president) and Charlevoix Hospital
DOROTHY ANNE FRUMKIN, 85, of Novi,
died Dec. 18, 2014.
She is survived by her brother and sister-
in-law, Edwin and Carol Lerner of Plainview,
N.Y.; nephews, Steven (Elissa) Lerner, Mark
(Maria) Lerner; great-nieces and great-
nephews, Elana, Aaron, Julia, Daniel and
David; many other loving family members
and friends.
Mrs. Frumkin was the beloved wife of the
late Marvin Frumkin.

took place at Cedar Park Cemetery in New

and Garden Club (a volunteer). She retired
and spent her later years in Charlevoix and
Petoskey with her family; more than any-
thing, she enjoyed being
a central part in their
lives. Her children and
beloved grandchildren
I inherited her dedication
to her community and
public service; they are
all active community
members.
She knew what she
liked and was not afraid
Molasky
to ask for it. Many local
restaurants knew her as
the lady who liked her
coffee decaf and extra hot and ordered her
French fries very well done.
Mrs. Molasky is survived by her brother
and sister-in-law, Joel and Shelley Tauber;
sister-in-law, Shelby Tauber; lifelong friend
and confidante, Barbara Mayer; sons and
daughters-in-law, Benjamin Meyerson
and Nicole Dewey, Joshua and Mary Jean
Meyerson; daughters and sons-in-law,
Valerie Meyerson and Tom Johnson, Emily
Meyerson and Harry Kitchen; grand-
children, Jeremiah and Anne Johnson,
Max and Gabriel Meyerson, and Amanda
Kitchen.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Gerald Meyerson from 1961-1980 and of
the late Marvin Molasky from 1990-2009.
Interment was at Beth Abraham
Cemetery. There will be a memorial service
at Temple B'nai Israel in Petoskey at 3 p.m.
