HERBERT JOSEPH EDER, died Dec. 5, 2014, in Boynton Beach, Fla., where he was a longtime resident. An avid reader, a talented musician and a great lover of duplicate bridge, Dr. Eder was a Life Master several times over despite losing his vision to macular degeneration. Born in Detroit on Dec. 14, 1920, Herb attended Central High and University of Michigan dental school. His family and friends will miss his constant curiosity, his intelligence, wit and unique sense of humor. Dr. Eder is survived by wife, Helen; daughters, Sheila Eder, Nita Eder Stevens, Kikki Eder and Terry Eder- Kaufman; granddaughters, Eleanor Guthrie, Chloe Stevens and Maya Kaufman; stepchildren, Alan Ablitz and Amy Ablitz; stepgrandchildren, Brian and Joshua Ablitz; stepgreat-grandson, Ezra Ablitz.
