will host a Shabbanukah celebration on
the fourth night of Chanukah and Shabbat.
There will be a Shabbat service followed
by a potluck dinner, Chanukiah lighting and
songs. Dinner of chicken and latkes; bring a
salad or a side dish to share and a menorah
to light. $5 per person; $2 per child (10 and

HUNGARY ARTISTS

7:30 pm. Downtown Synagogue is hosting
guests from Budapest, Hungary, to display
artwork from their innovative Jewish com-
munity. The synagogue will also show a doc-
umentary film about the Teleki Ter shul in
Budapest and display a small photo exhibi-
tion. The film will be shown after Havdalah,

Chanukah Celebrations

The Isaac Agree Downtown
Synagogue (LADS) will commemo-
rate the Jewish "Festival of Lights"
with its Chanukah Happening on
Sunday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m.
The gathering is free and open to
all. Guests will light menorahs and
enjoy latkes and traditional holiday
dishes. Additional highlights are a
"Chai Stakes" dreidel tournament
and "The Hasmonean Hullabaloo,"
a new, original Chanukah spiel.
Guests are asked to bring a warm
weather clothing item to the party

MITZVAH DAY

Various times. Volunteers of all ages sought
to participate in social service projects
so that others can celebrate Christmas at
home. Sponsored by Jewish Community
Relations Council and Federation. RSVP by

less and others in need.
The celebrations continue with
"IADS Presents: A Kosher Kind of
Christmas" on Wednesday, Dec.
24, at 7 p.m. Attendees will light
the menorah for the last night
of Chanukah before settling in
for a free movie marathon and
homemade kosher Chinese food.
Attendees are asked to bring a
kosher side dish or dessert to pass.
