Repair The World Adds
Fellowships In Detroit
Repair the World, a national nonprof-
it activating Jewish young adults to
volunteer to meet community needs,
has announced the second year of
Repair the World Detroit, which aims
to support local service projects to
contend with issues such as education
and food justice.
"Repair is committed to activating
young Jews to serve alongside mar-
ginalized communities and address,
in very tangible ways, issues of sys-
temic inequality," said David Eisner,
president and CEO of Repair the
World.
"We believe that real solidarity does
not end with building a community
garden; in fact, for many of our vol-
unteers, that is where it begins. Our
fellows serve as the bridge within
and between communities, creating
opportunities to engage more people
in this important work."
Repair the World offers full-
time fellowships as part of its
Communities program, engaging
42 full-time fellows, most of them
recent college graduates, to support
volunteer and service-learning proj-
ects involving thousands of young
adults.
