SIDNEY DINNER, 95,

of Pennsylvania, for-
merly of Michigan,
died Nov. 6, 2014.
A sergeant in the
Army during World
War II, Mr. Dinner
was a member of the
Dinner
540th Engineering
Corps and partici-
pated in Africa and
Southern France; he was also a part
of the advance troops at Anzio and
received a multitude of medals and
awards.
A member of Jewish War Veterans,
Mr. Dinner was also a past master of
Perfection Lodge of the Masons. He was
active with Congregation Beth Ahm
and was one of the directors of Beth
Abraham Cemetery for many years,
instrumental in having the chapel built
on the cemetery grounds.
He is survived by his son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Bill and Lynne Dinner of
Port Washington, N.Y.; daughter and
son-in-law, Dara Dinner and David
Walker of Radnor, Pa.; brothers and
sister-in-law, Albert "Boni" and Janice
Dinner, Melvin Dinner; grandchildren,
Isaac Dinner, Jesse Dinner.
Mr. Dinner was the beloved husband
of the late Shirley Dinner; dear brother
and brother-in-law of the late Ethel and
the late Sam Segal, the late Rae and the
late William Barnett, the late Bernie
Weiland, the late Diane Dinner.
Contributions may be made to
American Associates of Ben-Gurion
University of the Negev, 1001 Avenue
of the Americas, 19th Floor, New York,
NY 10018. Services were held at Beth
Abraham Cemetery Chapel in Ferndale
followed by interment at Beth Abraham
Cemetery. Arrangements by Hebrew
Memorial Chapel.
