Don't we all? And it will be a better place if children like John get their way. "One way for the world to be a bet- ter place is for everybody to do good things:' wrote John, who wanted to find an elderly person he could help and "make their day happy" The sixth-grader, who is home- schooled and lives in Goodrich, learned about Angels and Dreamers from his mother, Jana Von Gott, who has been studying with Rabbi Daniel Syme and making the hour-long trip to attend services at Temple Beth El in Bloomfield Township for the past three years. "Temple is where my heart is:' Jana said. "John comes with me frequently. When rabbi told me about Angels and Dreamers, I thought of him. He's always been super-helpful." Jessie Stern is recovering from a stroke, and although Dr. Stern said he usually has a landscaping company, the children, the beautiful weather and the delicious cider and donuts made for an afternoon that lifted everyone's spirits.
