dren; a large and loving blended fam-
ily of nieces, nephews, grandnieces,
grandnephews, many loving cousins
and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Samuel D. Gross; dear sister of the late
Essie and the late Sam Feldman, the
late Jean and the late Morrie Koretz,
the late Milton Gurvis.

SCHUBINER, 87, of
Novi, died Oct. 28,
2014.
He was a gradu-
ate of Wayne State
University and
worked
in advertis-

prior to establish-
ing the Typehouse,
which he owned until his retirement in
1989. He was very proud of the quality
of his typesetting and the relationships
he maintained with his employees.
Following his retirement, he worked
as a volunteer at Jewish Senior Life in
the Nosh Nook. Elliot was a longtime
member of Congregation Shaarey
Zedek. He was a very loving husband,
father and grandfather. He will be
remembered for his humor, integrity,
generosity and kindness.
Mr. Schubiner is survived by his
wife of 66 years, Lorraine Schubiner;
sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Howard
Schubiner and Dr. Valerie Overholt of
Pleasant Ridge, Dr. Jeffrey Schubiner
and Adrienne Leigh of Burlingame,
Calif.; daughter and partner, Susan
Michlin and Dan Schottenfels of
Farmington Hills; brother and sister-
in-law, Sheldon and Barbara Schubiner
of Oak Park; grandchildren, Lindsay
and Prerna Lal, Gabriel Scubiner,
Dylan Michlin, Jenna Michlin, Clayton
Schubiner, Jarrett Schubiner; loving
nieces and nephews.
Mr. Schubiner was the loving son
of the late Lillian and the late Morritz
Schubiner; brother-in-law of the late
Tillie Zussman, the late Pauline and
the late Phillip Fabian.
