SHELDON LYNN LEIB,

71, of Southfield, died
Nov. 1, 2014.
He will be remembered
for his tireless commit-
ment to his clients/friends
during his 40-plus years
accounting practice. He
Leib
was a man on whom his

family, friends and clients
could rely unconditional-
ly. His political enthusiasm took him to many
fine events of which he was very proud. Mr.
Leib was an active member of ZOA, acting as
the accountant for ZOA for many years.
The Leib family feels blessed to have had
such a wonderful brother and uncle in their
lives.
He was cherished by his brother and
sister-in-law, Dr. Joel and Barbara Leib; by
his twin brother, Maxwell Leib, and Max's
partner, Linda Bellinger; nieces and neph-
ews, Cheryl and Ronald Stern, Lisa Knoll
(fiance, Daniel Klein), Eric and Jodi Leib;
dear family, Bernice and Anthony Trogan;
great-nieces and great-nephews; loyal friend,
Howard Whittenberg.
Mr. Leib was the devoted son of the late
Clara Kapetansky Leib and the late Dr.
George Leib; devoted nephew of the late Dr.
Abraham J. Kapetansky.

Interment was held at Clover Hill Park in

BRUCE RANDY LESNICK, 58, of Irvine,

Calif., died Oct. 29, 2014.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rodda
Lesnick; his mother, Florence Kliman
Chafetz; brothers, Michael (Mona) Lesnick,
and Howard (Shari) Lesnick; stepmother,
Joan Ann Lesnick; stepbrother, Jimmy
McCarthy; niece, Stacey (Arik) Beyer;
nephews, Marc Lesnick, Maxx Lesnick and
Ben Lesnick; grandniece and grandnephew,
Isabella Beyer and Ethan Beyer; aunts, Rikki
(Mark) Friedman, Sylvia Pearlman, Carol
Kliman, Ann Carron; a multitude of loving

Longtime Pharmacist

avid Katz, 92, of Farmington
Hills, died Oct. 29, 2014.
He was born in Detroit on
July 13, 1922. He graduated
from the Detroit College
of Pharmacy in 1943. He
entered the United States
Army a year later at age 21,
serving on a hospital ship
in the European and Asian
theaters. His decorations
and citations included the
European African Middle
Eastern Theater Ribbon,
David Katz
Philippine Liberation Ribbon,
Asiatic Pacific Theater
Ribbon and Bronze Battle Star.
After the war, he returned to Detroit
to raise a family and open a drugstore,
Brady Pharmacy on Hastings Street and
then on Linwood, which he ran for over
20 years.
In midlife, after selling his store and

cousins.
Mr. Lesnick was the son of the late Julius
Lesnick; the nephew of the late Solomon
Kilman, the late Louis Kliman, the late Dr.
S. W Lesnick, the late Dr. Abe Pearlman and
the late Dr. Carl Carron.

EVELYN LEVENSON, 88, of Oak Park, died

Oct 31, 2014.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years,
Hyman Levenson; sons and daughters-in-
law, Alan and Adele Levenson of Farmington
Hills, Arthur and Denise Levenson of
Oak Park; daughter, Sharon Greenblatt of
Huntington Woods; brother and sister-in-
law, Harry and Pauline Schwartz of Florida;
sister, Helen Grubner; brother-in-law and
sisters-in-law, Albert and Lillian Goldberg,
Dorothy Appelbaum; grandchildren, Rebecca
and Noel Rollins, Scott and Emily Korobkin,

after a hiatus from the profession of
pharmacy, Mr. Katz taught himself how
to practice pharmacy in the computer
age and worked in drugstores
throughout the Metropolitan
Detroit area until his retire-
ment at the age of 85.
Mr. Katz was a voracious
reader and a talented artist.
He returned to his passion
for art in retirement and left
a legacy of captivating color
pencil drawings for his fam-
ily.
Mr. Katz recently celebrat-
ed his 70th wedding anniver-
sary with his wife, Ilene, and surrounded
by many of his children, grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years,
Ilene Katz; son and daughter-in-law,
Lawrence and Karen Katz of West
Bloomfield; daughters and son-in-law,
