Beans & Cornbread Kudos
Beans & Cornbread came out as the winner of the 2014 Best Restaurant at the recent Taste
of Southfield event, which featured 20 area restaurants. It received a beautiful plaque and
bragging rights on social media. The restaurant also made the Top 10 BEST LIST in USA
TODAY: Dining & Takeout. 10 Best writes, "Soul food dishes, both sophisticated and down-
home, highlight the menu here. Try meatloaf and gravy or Baby Sister's Backyard-Style
Baby Backs with a side of collard greens or black-eyed peas. Alternatively, sample salmon
croquettes drizzled with roasted red pepper sauce or a Harlem burrito — collard greens,
tomatoes, black-eyed peas, and rice rolled in a flour tortilla and served with Spanish Harlem
salsa. Top it all off with a slice of sweet potato cheesecake
