thrilled to announce the engage-
ment of their son Sam to Elyse Knopf,
daughter of Diane and Edward Knopf of
Swampscott, Mass.
Sam is a graduate of the Emery/Weiner
School in Houston and Washington
University in St. Louis; he works as a solu-
tions architect at Linkedln.
Elyse is a graduate of Cohen Hillel
Academy, Swampscott High School and
Washington University in St. Louis; she is
employed as an operations and logistics
manager at Uber Technologies.
The couple, who met on their first day of freshman orientation at Washington
University in St. Louis, reside in Chicago and are planning a fall 2015 wedding
in Boston.

rving and Lillian Meisner of Southfield
were blessed to celebrate the 70th
anniversary of their wedding on Oct.
15. Children of immigrants and lifelong
residents of Detroit, they both attended
Central High School. They were married at
Congregation Shaarey Zedek on Chicago
Boulevard in 1944. Mr. Meisner owned
Inkster Linoleum for 40 years, until his
retirement in 1992. Mrs. Meisner is the
owner of Lilly M Estate Sales that started in
1976 and still exists today. Gathered for the
occasion were their surviving siblings, their
six children and their spouses, many of their
12 grandchildren, other family members and friends, with whom they shared
the recollections of 70 years of memories.
