From West Bloomfield
The Berman Center for the
Performing Arts inside the Jewish
Community Center has been
selected for the 2014 Best of West
Bloomfield Award in the Performing
Arts Theater category by the West
Bloomfield Award Program.
Each year, the West Bloomfield

Beaumont Named
Center Of Excellence
Beaumont Health System has
been designated as Michigan's
first Diagnostic Imaging Center of
Excellence by the American College of
Radiology.
The Center of Excellence designa-
tion represents the pinnacle of medical
imaging care and is an achievement
that goes beyond accreditation to rec-
ognize best-quality imaging practices
and diagnostic care. This includes a
comprehensive assessment of the entire
medical imaging enterprise, including
structure and outcomes. The designa-
tion recognizes excellence at multiple
levels — including the professional
staff, the technology and the policies
and procedures the organization fol-
lows, as well as superior patient care.
The designation applies to all
Beaumont imaging locations —
including the Royal Oak, Troy and
Grosse Pointe hospitals, and outpatient
imaging services in Birmingham, Lake
Orion, Macomb Township, Warren,
West Bloomfield, two locations in
Rochester Hills, St. Clair Shores and
Sterling Heights.
"The designation of Diagnostic
Imaging Center of Excellence is the
highest honor an imaging practice
can attain:' says Duane Mezwa, M.D.,
corporate chief of Imaging, Beaumont

through service to their customers
and the community.
Various sources of information
were gathered and analyzed to
choose the winners in each category.
The 2014 West Bloomfield Award
Program focuses on quality, not
quantity. Winners are determined
based on the information gath-
ered both internally by the West
Bloomfield Award Program and data
provided by third parties.

Health System. "It recognizes our com-
mitment not only to offer the most
advanced diagnostics and therapeutic
services, but doing so in the safest
manner with the highest quality. It
also affirms that imaging performed
anywhere in the Beaumont system is
done to the same standard. We are
very proud of the entire team that
makes up Diagnostic Radiology and
Molecular Imaging whose efforts
resulted in this honor."
