ROBERT "BOB"
ALTMAN, 70, of
Boynton Beach, Fla.,
formerly of Maryland
and Michigan, died
Sept. 7, 2014.
He was the beloved
husband of Ellen
Altman
Bisgeier Altman;
loving father of Sara Schuster and
Rachel (Omar) Andrawos; cherished
grandfather of Tori Wilcox, Danielle
Wilcox, Zachary Dykes, Jacob French,
Zora French, Benjamin Andrawos and
Ava Andrawos; brother of Jim (Cheryl)
Altman; son-in-law of Norma (the late
Ben) Bisgeier; brother-in-law of Mark
Bisgeier (Linda) and Bob Bisgeier; a
world of nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends who will miss his intelligence,
sense of humor and wit.
Mr. Altman was the son of the late
Zora and the late Morris Altman.
Services were held in Boynton Beach.
Contributions may be made to Autism
Speaks or a charity of one's choice.

Boyer

RICHARD M.
BOYER, 91, of West
Bloomfield, died Sept.
25, 2014.
He was born in
New York City on
Oct. 3, 1922, living
his early years in both
New Jersey and New

York.
He was a mechanical engineering
graduate of the Cooper Union in New
York City. He was a World War II vet-
eran and served in the Army Corps of
Engineers. For many years, he operated
his own company, Richard Boyer and
Assoc., specializing in the engineering
and sales of heating and air condition-
ing equipment for the commercial,
industrial, institutional and medical
markets.
Mr. Boyer was a registered profes-
sional engineer in Michigan and a
life member of the American Society
of Heating, Refrigeration and Air
Conditioning Engineers. In his later
years, he merged his company into Air
Design Inc. and devoted much of his
time and energy to solving problems
associated with human comfort in the
office environment.
Mr. Boyer is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, David and Cathey
Boyer; daughter and son-in-law, Lauren
and Harry Neuman; grandchildren, Eli
and Kimmy Boyer, Marissa Neuman,
Carli Boyer and Avery Neuman; sister,
Muriel Zavidow; sister-in-law, Jodie
Hollander; many nephews and nieces.
Mr. Boyer was the beloved husband
of the late Jan J. Boyer.
Contributions may be made to the
Brown Center or a charity of one's
choice. Interment took place at Adat

Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery in
Livonia. Arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.

DR. HERBERT
BRODE, 85, of
Huntington Woods,
died Sept. 22, 2014.
He was a dentist
and oral surgeon who
trained residents at
Receiving Hospital.
Brode
Dr. Brode is sur-
vived by his wife, Joan Brode; sons, Jon
Brode of Saline and Robert Brode of
California.
Dr. Brode was the loving brother of
the late Gloria Sobel; the dear brother-
in-law of the late Milford Sobel; the
devoted son of the late Leonard and the
late Helen Brode.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to Jewish Senior Life of Metropolitan
Detroit, 6710 W. Maple Road, West
Bloomfield, MI 48322, www.jslmi.
org; or to a charity of one's choice.

family members and friends.

at Machpelah Cemetery in Ferndale.
