PJ Library Program
For Kids Ages 9-11
Starting this month, PJ Library will
broaden its reach to an older group of
children, ages 9-11, with PJ Our Way,
bringing Jewish books into older chil-
dren's lives as PJ Library has done with
younger children over the past nine
years.
The program will be piloted in 10 tar-
get communities. The Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit is bringing PJ
Our Way to Detroit.
"The PJ Library program has touched
thousands of lives in Metro Detroit —
from our youngest children (6 months)
to our biggest kids (up to age 9), and
including their parents:' said Lisa Soble
Siegmann of Federation's Alliance for
Jewish Education. "PJ Our Way is a con-
tinuation of an amazing program, now
for older kids.
"We are delighted to have been asked
to be one of several pilot communities,
testing out this new chapter of PJ," she
said. "For kids ages 9-11, they simply
sign up at www.pjourway.org. Then,
once they are part of the program, they
will be able to go online and choose one
of four books every month. They also
will be able to interact with the site and
even be part of a book club that will be
at Adat Shalom Synagogue:'
