BBYO kicks off the fall

season with an event

centered around'Oaint.

n Sunday, Sept. 7, local Jewish
teens got covered in color at
BBYO Michigan's fall kick-off
event, "Paint the Town with BBYO!"
Nearly 200 teens, grades 9-12, attended
the event where they participated in
activities including paint Twister, a paint
balloon toss and a color powder toss.
BBYO is the leading pluralistic Jewish
teen movement and is open to all Jewish
teens in grades 9-12. Teens not yet in high
school can get involved in BBYO Connect,
BBYO's experience specifically for Jewish
teens in grades 6-8.

iving it a toot and discovering hidden talents, preschoolers from the Sarah
and Irving Pitt Early Childhood Development Center and children from
the JCC Day Camp in West Bloomfield gathered to sound the shofar with
a little help from Rabbi Rob Morais, director of Shalom Street.
All families can join the fun, Sunday, Sept. 21, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Jewish
Community Center in West Bloomfield. The event is free, but reservations are
requested at ShofarFactoryFestival.com .
