Pro-Israel Christians showed their support.

j

ews and Christians came
together Sept. 6 at the corner
of Orchard Lake and Maple
roads in West Bloomfield to take a
stand against Islamic extremists that
are a threat to both groups.
Mock ISIS and Hamas flags were
ripped to bits during the rally. "By
ripping up the ISIS flag we are show-
ing how we feel about ISIS' proclama-
tion that it will put its flag up on the
White House," said Michael Aldouby,
organizer of the event and president
of Long Live Israel, the grassroots

is to kill all the Jews."
During the rally, the Israeli and U.S.
national anthems were sung as well as
"God Bless America."
"We are very grateful and blessed
that we live in a country where
Christians and Jews can worship
freely," Aldouby said.
Gov. Rick Snyder of Michigan was
praised at the event. Snyder spoke at
the Islamic Society of North America
Conference in late August, where he
stated that Israel has the right to exist.
"Even though you would think that
would be a reasonable statement,
ISNA is up in arms about it," Aldouby
said.
Several pastors spoke of the impor-
tance of Israel in Christianity.
Aldouby said, "We are very grateful
to all the pro-Israel Christians who
came out and stood with Israel and
against Islamic terrorist groups"
