Honoring the memory of our beloved board member MARION SHLOM, 90, of Southfield, died Sept. 14, 2014. She loved to travel and, in later years, par- ticipated in day Shlom trips; she thor- c. 1945 oughly enjoyed retirement. Mrs. Shlom was a member of the Detroit Institute of Arts, Jewish Women International, Southfield Seniors Retiree Club of Providence Hospital, Jewish Historical Society and the Henry Ford Museum. She was a 30-year member of Secretaries Group of Providence Hospital and a 65-year-plus member of Adat Shalom Synagogue. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Gordon and Susan Shlom, Larry Shlom, and Richard and Carla Shlom; daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Stuart Levitz; grandchil- dren, Samara and Nathan Cohen, Suzanne Shlom, Dr. Scott Levitz, Michael Levitz, and Adam and Michal Shlom; great-grandchil- dren, Blaine Maxwell and Aliyah Rose Cohen; sister, Evelyn Sell; nephew and niece, Barry and Mariko Sell; cousins in Israel and Australia; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and friends. Mrs. Shlom was the beloved wife for 65 years of the late Philip Shlom; cherished mother of the late Susan Kreiger Shlom; devoted daughter of the late Lillian and the late Max Vernon; dear daugh- ter-in-law of the late Libby and the late Simon Shlom; dear sister- in-law of the late Yetta and the late Max Sallan, the late Bertha and the late Nathan Novograd, the late Irving and the late Celia Shlom, the late Winnifred and the late Bill Borkin; loving aunt of the late Eric Sell. Interment was at Machpelah Cemetery.
