mitzvah on Saturday,
Aug. 16, at
Congregation Beth
Emeth in Herndon,
Shapo
Va. Sharing in her
simchah were parents
Jackie (Raznik) and Ben Shapo, broth-
ers Aaron, 11; Joshua, 8; Jonathan, 41/2;
and sister Michaela, 41/2. Grandparents
Phillip and Geraldine Raznik, and
Marshall and Helene Shapo were also
very proud.
Gabrielle is a student at Rachel
Carson Middle School in Herndon, Va.
For her mitzvah project, she volun-
teered at the Hunter Woods Fellowship
House for the low-income elderly.

will celebrate her bat
mitzvah on Saturday,
Sept. 20, at Temple
Beth El in
Yolles
Bloomfield
Township. Joining in
their simchah will be Madison's proud

Madison is a seventh grader at
Birmingham Covington School. For
one of her mitzvah projects, she volun-
teers every year for the Jewish Family
Service Adopt-a-Family holiday drive.

Jonathan earned his B.B.A. from

Business and his J.D. from Northwestern
University Law School. He is corporate
counsel for Chicago's DRW Trading Group.
Erica earned her economics and commu-
nication degrees from Boston College. She is
director of account management at Chicago's
Mode Media.
After a September wedding in Chicago, the couple will honeymoon in
Vietnam.

announce the engagement of their
daughter Elise Michele to Edmund Samuel
Aronowitz, son of Karen and Judd Aronowitz
of Miami, Fla.
Elise, who received her bachelor of sci-
ence in biochemistry from the University of
Michigan and her doctor of pharmacy from
Temple University in Philadelphia, is a clini-
cal pharmacist at Northwestern Memorial
Hospital in Chicago.
Eddie attended Cornell University in Ithaca,
N.Y., where he received both his bachelor of
arts in history and his juris doctor. He is a practicing attorney in Chicago.
Elise and Eddie are planning a December wedding in West Bloomfield.
