Detroit tennis players won nine med-
als. Just as importantly, they were
outstanding representatives of the
Maccabi Games' host city.
"They're great kids. They won
graciously and lost graciously:' said
Doug Victor, one of five Detroit ten-
nis coaches.
Here are the tennis divisions,
Detroit's medal winners and the other
Detroit competitors in the divisions.
Boys 13-14 recreational: Leo Sabin,
silver, David Honig, bronze. Also,
Evan Krasnick, Blayze Karp, Avery
Geller and Matthew Miller.

Boys 13-14 competitive: Gabe
Liss, silver. Also, Seth Kahan, Ian
Rosenwasser and Ryan Frank.
Boys 15-16 competitive: No medal
winners. Justin Gudeman and Sam
Halpern competed.
Girls 13-14 recreational: Kaela
Bernard, gold, Danielle Lutz, sil-
ver, Shayna Brown, bronze. Also,
Eva Goldman, Julie Krasnick, Katie
Radner and Madeline Katz.
Girls 13-14 competitive: Melissa
Strome, gold. Also, Rosie Feinbloom,
