Shir Shalom's day at the zoo is filled
with fun educational opportunities.

ore than 30 families gathered
at the Detroit Zoo for Temple
Shir Shalom's "Two by Two
at the Zoo" event on Aug. 20 for an
evening of food, fun and family learning
with Temple Shir Shalom's Preschool,
the Learning Center and Shoresh, the
religious school.
The families, along with Temple
Shir Shalom's clergy and staff, enjoyed
a cookout dinner, Jewish sing-along
and Noah's Ark-themed scavenger
hunt through the zoo. Like Temple

welcome new families and reconnect
with returning families as we kick off
the upcoming school year." said Marsha
Mitnick, Learning Center director. "We

through fun, energetic and hands-on
Jewish educational experiences"
