Labor Day Fun

Temple Israel holiday picnic
provides a multigenerational affair.

louds didn't dampen Temple
Israel's annual Labor Day pic-
nic as tots to teens and parents
to grandparents flocked to the West
Bloomfield synagogue grounds for all
sorts of fun.
The fare included blowup games, pony
rides, face painting, magicians, train rides,
arts and crafts, a hot dog lunch, ice cream
and snow cones.

Temple Israel's Brotherhood hosted its
ever-popular annual blood drive in con-
junction with the communitywide event.
A bone marrow recruitment drive also was
held.
Teens from the Youth Federation of
Temple Israel recruited homeowners
in need of work around the house in
exchange for a donation on Mitzvah Day
this October.
