of Palm Desert,
Calif., formerly of
Michigan, died Aug.
29, 2014.
She was a mem-
ber of Hadassah and
Women's Orthodox
Stein
League.
Mrs. Stein is survived by her sons,
Peter Weisberg and David Weisberg,
both of of Oak Park; friend, Mark
Weisberg; siblings, Toni Sifert, Marc
Stein, Moira Stein-Ward and Rick
Ward, Paul and Miria Stein, Jack and
Sherie Stein, and Anne King; nieces
and nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Mrs. Stein was the precious daugh-
ter of the late Bernard Stein and the
late Victoriana Lopez Stein Hamilton;
dear sister of the late Romola Pena.
Interment was at Machpelah

A CPA, Mr.
Thirman was a mem-
ber of Congregation
B'nai Moshe, its

men's club and the
Michigan Association of Certified
Public Accountants. He was active with
Hillel Day School and was honored
with his wife in 2011 by the Jewish
Theological Seminary in New York.
He is survived by his wife of 57
years, Maggie Thirman; sons and
daughters-in-law, Mark and Stacey
Thirman of Wayland, Mass., Dr.
Michael and Karen Thirman of
Wilmette, Ill.; grandchildren, Sarah,
Sam, Charlotte, Lilly, Jonathan, Daniel
and Hannah; sister, Irene Petrinitz;
nieces and nephew, Jeffrey and Laura
Petrinitz, Karen Petrinitz.
Mr. Thirman was the cherished
brother-in-law of the late Alex
Petrinitz; the dear uncle of the late
Ron Petrinitz.
Interment was at Oakview
